Work to Commence on Lagos-Badagry Expressway….

Contractors handling the expansion of the Lagos-Badagry Expressway are to be mobilised back to site this month.
So says Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu during an on the spot assessment of the level of work on the 10-lane- expressway.
Addressing newsmen at the Abule Osun axis of the road, Governor Sanwo-Olu who said Government was aware of the plight of people living on that corridor assured residents that construction work would commence at Maza-Maza, Iba junction down to Okokomaiko end of the road this month.
The Governor who expressed displeasure at the unsanitary condition of the already completed part of the road from the National Art Theatre down to Orile appealed to traders who have converted some section of the road to markets to vacate such locations while arrangements would be put in place to clear the massive pile of refuse on the roads.
Correspondent Omolara Omosanya reports that Governor Sanwo-Olu assured residents that with financing, the Okokomaiko axis would be completed this year or early next year, while the State would liaise with the Federal Government on the completion of the Okokomaiko to Seme Border section of the Expressway.
