The Lagos State Governor-elect, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu says his administration will continue to push an already great Lagos to greater heights with the help of all relevant stakeholders.

Addressing party supporters at the All Progressives Congress APC’s Secretariat in Acme, Ogba Ikeja, shortly after he was declared winner of the election, Mr Sanwo-Olu said it was time to put aside all the divisive rhetoric and strategies that were employed during the campaign period and urged everyone to work together now that the election is over.

Mr. Sanwo-Olu pledged that his administration would focus on three key areas, which are; infrastructural development, Social services and Welfare, and the development of specific plans for sustainable growth and job opportunities for the vast population of the State.

He revealed that his closest opponent, Mr Jimi Agbaje of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP had called him to concede defeat and that he admitted that the election was free and fair.

Mr Sanwo-Olu was declared winner of the election and Governor-elect of Lagos by the Returning Officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC in the State, Professor Eyitope Ogunbodede, having polled 739,445 votes to defeat his closest challenger, PDP’s Mr. Jimi Agbaje who got 206,141votes.
