LAHA APPOINTS THIRTY – SIX COMMITTEE MEMBERS.

The Lagos State Assembly has established thirty-six standing committees to assist with the oversight function of the House.
The committees and their chairmen were announced today by the Speaker of the Assembly, Alhaji Mudashiru Obasa at the end of the day’s plenary.
The Speaker chaired the Selection Committee, while Ethics, Protocols and Privileges committee goes to the Chief Whip of the House, Rotimi Abiru; Public Accounts Committee (State) is to be chaired by Moshood Oshun, Public Accounts (Local Government) to be chaired by Fatai Mojeed; Agriculture Committee will be chaired by Kehinde Joseph.
Others include Economic Planning and Budget, Gbolahan Yishau; Education, Yinka Ogundimu; Science and Technology, Lanre Afinni; Environment, Desmond Elliott; Establishment, Training and Pensions, Rasheed Makinde; Physical planning and Urban Development, Nurudeen Akinsanya; Transportation, Temitope Oladeji; Commerce and Industry, Sanni Okanlawon.
Also, Women Affairs goes to Mojisola Meranda; Works and Infrastructure, Abiodun Tobun; Wealth Creation and Employment, Jude Idimogwu.
Meanwhile, Finance goes to Rotimi Olowo; Health, Akeem Sokunle; Home Affairs, David Setonji.
Tourism, Art and Culture, Saka Nurudeen; Youth and Social Development, Ajani Owolabi; Judiciary, Human Rights and LASIEC, Victor Akande; Lands, Richard Kasunmu; Housing, Bisi Yusuf; Information and Strategy, Tunde Buraimoh.
Central Business Districts, Moji Alli-Macaulay; Special Duties and Intergovernmental Relations, Raheem Kazeem; Local Government Administration, Layinka Sobur, Legislative Compliance, Mustapha Age-Sulaimon; Procurement, Oluomoh Lookmon; Overseas and Investment, Oluwadahunsi Ogunkelu; Inter-Parliamentary, Oluwa Fatai; Public Private Partnership, Noheem Adams while House Service Committee goes to Tijani Olatunji.
