Lagos State Office Of The Public Defender, OPD, Gets New Director.

The State Ministry of Justice appointed Dr. Babajide Martins as the new sheriff to give justice to the voiceless residents.

Dr. Martins succeeds Mrs Olayinka Adeyemi who has been appointed as the new Director of Public Prosecution, DPP.

Dr. Jide Martins holds an LLB from the University of Lagos, Masters in law from University of Leicester and Doctorate in Law from Birbeck College, University of London.

Before his appointment, he was a Director in the Directorate of Public Prosecution, Lagos State Ministry of Justice.

According to a statement by the OPD’s Director of Public Affairs, Mr Mamud Hassan, Dr Martins, addressed the management and staff via an online social network and pledged to improve efficiency and service delivery to the deprived and vulnerable members of the public.
