Most shops in Oke-Ofa area of Isolo were open for business despite the atmosphere in the state following the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum and Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi announced this today when he led a delegation on behalf of the Forum, in company of his Kano and Edo State Counterparts, Umar Ganduje and Godwin Obaseki on an on-the-spot assessment of the extent of damage and to commiserate with the government and people of Lagos state.
He also announced the establishment of a-multi-sectoral fact finding committee to find the exact and remote causes of the explosion.
The Governor also instructed the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency, LASEPA, to distribute personal safety equipments such as face and nose protection masks to first responders, residents of the affected area and all safety workers at the ground zero.
